Thomas J. Gianfagna received his Ph.D. from Cornell University in plant physiology and is a professor of plant biology at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ. He is also an associate editor for the journal Plant Growth Regulation and is on the scientific advisory board for Jersey Flora, Inc. His current research is on the identification of active natural products from lily bulbs and flowers for the cosmetics and personal care products industries.
